About the Company

Creative Outlet’s Young Artists(YA) program supports the professional development of young aspiring artists living in New York City. This scholarship-based program couples young adults with experienced professional artists who help them train and develop their professional skills while producing performances and season tours at professional dance venues across the nation.

The program consists of approximately artists aged 14-20 who study modern, ballet, traditional african, jazz and other dance styles and techniques, as well as theater and voice under the direction of industry professionals. They rehearse between 12 and 15 hours per week.

The Company tours with 6-20 performers and Creative Outlet personnel (Artistic Director, Company Manager, Technical Director, Lighting Designer, Wardrobe Supervisor and Stage Manager) based on the nature of the event.
