Careitha Davis
Careitha Davis is a native of Brooklyn, NY, with ancestral roots from Trinidad and Tobago. A multifaceted artist, she reflects her deep connection to dance traditions and rituals through her teaching philosophies and work. Following her performance work with choreographer Dianne McIntyre, Careitha graduated from SUNY Purchase and New York University. She has pursued extensive education in leadership, curriculum development, and community building.
Careitha has served as a teaching artist for Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Ballet Hispánico, and Harlem Stage, and has led international classes in Switzerland, Uganda, Trinidad, and St. Maarten.
