Kevin Tate
Kevin R. Tate (AGMA/AEA) is a native of Washington, DC, and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He received his BFA in Dance Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He is also a proud alumnus of the Professional Performing Arts High School (PPAS) of NYC. His additional training includes studying under Jamel Gaines at Creative Outlet. Kevin's first Broadway credit came at the age of 12 when he was cast as Jackie Thibodeaux in George C. Wolfe's Caroline, or Change. His international television credits include ABC's Manhattan Love Story, Good Morning Germany, and a national Revlon commercial.
His concert dance credits include The Metropolitan Opera Ballet of NYC, Rasta Thomas's BAD BOYS of Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Kyle Abraham's AIM, and Collage Dance Collective. Kevin has been featured in SELF Magazine, Inside Dance Magazine, and as a model for CHARLIE men's wear line and BOSE electronics on their website and social media platforms.
Most recently, Kevin originated the 3rd National Broadway Tour of Disney's The Lion King as the featured Gazelle. He can also be seen in ads for OOFOS Footwear and Brooklyn Brewery. Kevin is managed by Peggy Stamps of The Squarepeg Group, Inc.
