Nicole De Weever
Nicole Chantal de Weever is the Founder and President of the Art Saves Lives Foundation and proudly serves as a Cultural Ambassador for St. Maarten. A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, she also trained at Fairfax Ballet and Motiance. Nicole has been honored with the Fred and Adele Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer on Broadway and the ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus for her role in Fela!
Her illustrious career spans high-profile performances on The View, Stephen Colbert Report, and the 64th Annual Tony Awards. Nicole has graced stages around the world in productions such as West Side Story and FELA!, and has collaborated with renowned choreographers including Katherine Dunham, Bill T. Jones, and Rob Ashford.
Nicole contributed to the American Library of Congress's documentary on Katherine Dunham and appeared in Ridley Scott’s American Gangster. She has also been featured on The Today Show, NBC, and ABC, and has worked with Beyoncé and Shakira Marshall on acclaimed projects. Her stage work includes performances with Forces of Nature Dance Theatre and Cirque du Soleil.
As a speaker at the UN, Nicole addressed the role of technology and the arts in addressing global issues. Her achievements are recognized in the Dictionary of Caribbean and Afro-Latin American Biography by Oxford Reference, a text used in courses at prestigious institutions including Harvard and Yale.
