Robert Hooks
Robert Hooks II, also known as RJ, is an emerging artist from Brooklyn, New York. RJ began dancing at the age of three, training under Deborah Barton, Serina Young, and Ming Dunn. He attended Brooklyn High School of the Arts, where he studied with Michelle J. Smith and Ian J. Dasilva. RJ has further honed his skills by training with renowned artists such as Obediah Wright, Earl Mosley, Thera Ward, and Kevin Iega Jeff, among others.
RJ started his professional career with Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet, TORCH Dance Theatre, and Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company. He has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Bryant Park, and the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in New York. In his spare time, RJ enjoys playing football and basketball and watching animal documentaries. He joined 6 o’clock Dance Theatre as a dancer in October 2023.
