Kevon Joseph is a dedicated advocate for the arts, education, and social justice, using his skills in administration and grant writing to uplift marginalized communities. Kevon plays a crucial role in securing funding for programs that use dance to explore themes of Black struggle, resilience, and triumph. His work at JGCO reflects his broader commitment to advocacy through storytelling, a passion shaped by his upbringing in Brooklyn. Balancing his role at JGCO with his studies as a Political Science major at SUNY Purchase—where he also minors in Global Black Studies and Visual Arts—Kevon brings a multidisciplinary perspective to his work. As the Engagement Coordinator for the Purchase Pre-Law Club, he fosters connections between aspiring legal professionals and the broader legal community, furthering his mission of empowering underrepresented voices. Whether through law or development work, Kevon remains committed to using movement, words, and action to create lasting change.
